You may have read or heard rumors that you can get cable channels for free. This is not true. There are unscrupulous FTA dealers going around spreading this lie to take advantage of the 4DTV orphans selling leftover pieces of junk offshore piracy clone boxes with $15 worth of electronic parts in it, that are not capable of this. The pirates were sued and shutdown months ago by Cisco and the programmers. Any other signals these dealers may boast about have been shutdown or are in the process of being shutdown.
The Facts.
The fact is that Rainier Satellite sells the ONLY receivers capable of subscribing to HD cable programming on C band. Our D9865 receivers are built by Cisco and approved to receive subscription programming on C band from the programmers. Longevity of our signals is assured with our 5 year license agreements with the content providers.
There is no magical low cost receiver for subscription TV. Only Rainier offers c band programming and equipment to do so. DON’T GET FOOLED OR TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.

We regret to inform you the final day for delivery of C-Band services will be August 24, 2016. The programming will end sometime that day.
Update 8/24/2016: Programming center has now ceased operations serving the 4DTV market. Rainier Satellite wishes them the best. We wish to offer a warm welcome to all 4DTV orphans and ask them to join the cutting edge of c band PURE HD technology with Rainier’s Full Arc PowerVu platform. We have 5 year contracts with programmers and are here for you in this time of mourning, and will be here for you for many years to come.

The long life of the 4DTV system is almost over. As of August 26th 2016 the handful of SD channels left on the X4 105 west satellite offered from Programming center or Skyvision is being terminated on the 4DTV and will not be coming back. There will be no more extensions Comcast has informed us. This leaves Rainier Satellite as the ONLY C band subscription provider left out there. If you want to continue with C band subscription TV you will need to upgrade your system to the Rainier Full Arc Pure HD platform. Rainier has made this easy with our upgrade package. With the shutdown of the 4DTV on HITS about 2 weeks away, Rainier Satellite sales of upgrades to our Full Arc subscription platform numbers continue to grow. As of August 1st we will be the Exclusive provider for C band Subscription Television all in PURE HD. Concerning Future Channels: Rainier Satellite has 19 contracts signed with 19 different program providers. These are 5 year contracts. Once launched this will yield around 100 channels. The final stages to get these out to the public are being worked on while this is written. The wait is almost over.

Rainier Satellite has had many phone calls from people inquiring about our service that are not happy with the way Programming Center, SRL is handling the 4DTV shutdown.
As of this writing they have not posted anything on their website about the shutdown, but do tell phone callers its the end on July 31st. They also refuse to give a good faith nod in the direction of Rainier Satellite as an option for continued use of their c band system, to the soon to be c band orphans.
Many that call us about our offerings inform us they found us by only looking at the internet under C band satellite programming. We have been told that when they inquire about any options beyond July 31st they are told NO there are none, C band is dead. While Rainier does not really expect Programming Center to say anything about us. Its a bad way to exit the C band market and treat the loyal subscribers they had for many many years with this misinformation. Programming Center is exiting in bad faith just like NPS did in 2010. While this may seem okay to them, is it fair to the soon to be C band orphan to be treated this way? We at Rainier do not treat our customers like this and go out of our way to make them happy. We treat our customers with respect and dignity.
If you are a soon to be c band orphan, One month or less is left to D day, Rainier is here for you the loyal C band subscriber that wants to keep their c band dish active with entertainment. The facts are this. Our contracts with programmers are for 5 years. We have 19 contracts with big name programmers that will allow us many more channels in the near future. Were not going away anytime soon and are dedicated to C Band!
