Don’t get take advantage of.

You may have read or heard rumors that you can get cable channels for free. This is not true. There are unscrupulous FTA dealers going around spreading this lie to take advantage of the 4DTV orphans selling leftover pieces of junk offshore piracy clone boxes with $15 worth of electronic parts in it, that are not capable of this. The pirates were sued and shutdown months ago by Cisco and the programmers. Any other signals these dealers may boast about have been shutdown or are in the process of being shutdown.

Greetings to all C band big dish owners,

Many have been waiting for this news for a while and were proud to be able to finally address the public with the latest.

As some of our subscribers may already know Rainier Satellite currently has 19 contracts with different large name favorite cable channel programmers. We have been working hard long hours to get these rolled out to the public in breathtaking Pure Master HD quality via our Cisco D9865H PowerVu Full Arc platform. There were some technical issues we needed to resolve and have now taken care of this. With that said it looks like the wait is almost over.

Starting this summer (with implementation of our technical upgrades) we will begin rolling out many of your favorite HD cable channels. Rainier Satellite is no longer associated with TVROSAT Forum

This is to inform all that Rainier Satellite has now moved our official discussions 100% over to Satellite Home. The reason behind this move is this. We have been informed that certain members and sponsors on the TVROSAT forum are under investigation for promoting piracy. Its members and sponsors are also known for distributing equipment for these unlawful activities from offshore sources using Ebay and other vendors.

The TVROSAT forum and its sponsor Tek2000 (aka Alex Portillo, aka John Simpson, aka Carlos and other aliases) is under investigation by federal agencies and others for this and other activities. TVROSAT hides under the disguise that piracy talk is not permitted over there, but this information is freely posted in many threads with references to equipment and such. They are vey active in maintaing a database alerting pirates where to look for illegal channels using their equipment. Stooping so low to promote theft of service to sell products should be a red flag to anyone. Do not buy from these people, you will be burned. Piracy Never Works…..

In lieu of those illegal activities, Rainier Satellite has chosen to not be part of the theft of service promoting community TVROSAT. Rainier also refuses to be abused by members over there and don’t support or condone these unlawful activities. Why Piracy Never Works? YOU LOSE!

There is No Free Lunch even if some think so.

Were talking about TV PIRACY. Piracy is a way of circumventing protective security placed on a signal to prevent watching it without payment. While some may think its totally harmless to watch TV without payment its not. Be it either Cable, Satellite or Internet based TV it is all the same its stealing.

Theft of service over the years has had its ups and downs and has never amounted to anything good especially for those stealing. Some will spend a ton of money and effort just to end up with a blank screen or scrambled message.

Those that pirate a signal think its ok to steal signal because they feel they are entitled to it. This is the same as thinking it is alright to steal food from my local grocer because I want it, or he owes it to me because I cant afford it.

Next time you think about theft of service (TV PIRACY) think how you would feel if someone stole your car, robbed your home, ripped off your bank account, stole your wallet, etc etc. I don’t think the TV pirate would like to have that happen to them.

All morals aside, TV Pirates are now facing aggressive counter measures from the providers of the signals. Electronic countermeasures and policing has put quite a dent in the TV Pirates enjoyment. And this is only the beginning. Federal and local law enforcement has been stepped up. This is ending up TV pirates with a large fine, confiscation of equipment, and a nice vacation in jail. Certain big names behind Piracy have been caught and are now serving jail sentences.

With ongoing fear of loosing signal at any moment, plus a knock at the door from law enforcement, not to forget about a continuous outlay of cash to get the latest fix that goes out. It ends up costing the pirate way more then going the legal route. Piracy is definitely not a wise investment.

Still not convinced and still looking for that free lunch? Then you need to read more Here. Don’t throw your life, happiness and freedom away trying to watch TV for free. Its just not worth it.

Rainier DH 2.7 meter Performance Antenna build and review.

This 9 foot is a MONSTER! It performs as well or better than a 10 foot!

The final testing is in and Rainier Satellite is proud to announce that our custom DH 9 foot antenna is definitely up to the task for all High Modulation DVB S2 8PSK signals out there.

Our test setup included two Norsat 3120 PLL LNB’s, Harvard Scientific Ortho Tuned Feedhorn (included with dish), Rainier Belden all copper 4.5GHZ coax dual cable, Venture 36 inch Robust Actuator, and of course our D9865H HD Satellite Receiver.

The dish panels, ring, and hardware came shipped and protected in a wooden crates. No damage from improper shipping or penny pinching packing.

The Rainier Belden pure center copper 4.5 GHZ dual coax came on a solid plastic spool.

Harvard Scientific Tuned Feedhorn standard with the Rainier dish system.

Assembly in progress…

High quality sturdy built back ring mount has multi attachment points for stability. It includes a high grade large size turnbuckle for elevation adjustment. High quality welding and assembly throughout.

Solid quad leg feed support. Superior stability for feed assembly. Keeps those signals on target in all weather.

Assembly of the dish went very easy as DH marks where all panels should go together for perfect alignment. This assembles a very perfect parabolic reflector to assure maximum signal gain. The mount is solid and can easily withstand the force of very high wind on the reflector. Holes line up well for ease of assembly.

Dish alignment was easy as long as you follow the proper dish tuning procedures. Setting elevation on the southern most satellite first, then alternating azimuth and elevation on low and high satellites. DH and Rainier were there to answer all questions while building and tuning the dish. Support was excellent!

Performance!

Once assembled and peaked up on the arc, the Rainier DH Antenna’s performance was outstanding. It gave excellent results on all transponders across the arc. (view our Super Buddy meter below) It picks up weak signals many other dishes fall short on. The special reflector /tuned feed combo, with the Norsat PLL LNB’s, and Rainier solid copper center coax, creates a tuned set that gives impeccable results.

Once we connected it to the D9865H receiver, the signal was rock solid even with the rotten wintery weather here at our test site. The picture quality is fantastic on the Rainier Cisco D9865H HD receiver and large screen TV.

In conclusion the Rainier DH 2.7 meter Performance Dish Antenna and Rainier accessories is well worth the money. The quality in manufacturing, and hands on support was excellent. It is highly recommended to all who are looking for a high quality C band dish setup without any unnecessary headaches or replacement needed parts due to poor manufacturing or damage in shipping. Off shore China made junk it is not. Designed and tooled in the United States of America.

Tired of FTA Boxes that don’t work right? Throwing money away time after time?

Are you one of the FTA box users that seem to get a receiver that never works right on all or some channels no matter what you do?

Let me tell you, I like everyone else have been through the problematic FTA merry go round for years just like you reading this now and was disgusted with it all. Once I got the Cisco D9865 these problems stopped. It just worked and worked well! I have been using the Cisco for well over 2 years now and very satisfied. The Cisco also offers the added benefit of Subscription C band Master TV that no FTA box can offer. More on the Cisco later.

So why does this happen with typical FTA boxes A-Z?

All the FTA boxes the FTA dealers sell are originally intended for use in a foreign country. They are not designed for North America’s TV signals and standards no matter what they may tell you. Your typical FTA dealer/seller looks for a product that will meet his needs and clients price range. One big restriction the FTA dealer faces is cost. He knows his clients will not spend the money to do it right. So he must settle. (This is where the problem begins) FTA dealers are small garage based businesses that dont have the money to invest in a ground up product built specifically for the North American Market to his specifications. So the FTA dealer/seller decides on this or that foreign pre made box depending on what will seem to work for him. He then brings it to market and begins sales. After a while his clients complain that this isn’t working right or that isn’t right. So he contacts the manufacturer or has someone write patches to the firmware to try to solve the issues. In the meantime it usually screws up the previous code and a new problem arises. So its back to trying to fix that problem and many times still trying to fix the original problem. Once again he releases an update and the scenario keeps repeating itself. After the dealer/seller exhausts all his resources and the manufacturer / coder says it cannot be fixed no matter what, he drops support for the box. And you the consumer is left out in the cold.

After support is dropped the dealer /seller starts this game over again looking for another FTA box to fill the sales void. He still has the financial restraints to work with so the scenario repeats itself once again and the consumer loses again. Round and round the cycle goes.

Now back to the Cisco D9865. Why is it different? One of the things many overlook is that the Cisco D9865 is designed for the North American TV Market. It uses the same engine that is used in the commercial receivers/decoders used in your typical Cable and Satellite headend to deliver those services. It’s firmware has already been designed to work right and must no matter what it receives. Any future updates are done automatically over the satellite, so you don’t risk the chance of bricking the receiver with USB or internet update. Cost factor (the failure of typical FTA boxes) was not an issue when it was done so it is done right. But there is a tradeoff – it costs more than your typical FTA receiver upfront. Quality does not come free as many may keep believing. You need to ask yourself this question? Do I want to keep playing this FTA low price game buying your typical $100-$400 FTA receiver over and over just to replace it in 6 months to a year? OR Do I want to spend a little more once and be done with this merry go round once and for all? If you add up what you spent on many FTA bug-ridden receivers over a few years you can very easily own the Cisco D9865 and have change left over. Its your money how do you choose to spend it?
